Creative Illustrator

I was born in the Year of the Dragon and raised in Georgia, a place known for its city in the forest. Much of my childhood was spent outside and in my mother’s garden, surrounded by hydrangeas, azaleas, butterfly bushes, and fruit trees. That early proximity to nature, watching things grow, decay, and transform really shaped how I understand form, texture, and time.

Nature became my first reference for world-building. Alongside this, I was an avid reader and Nintendo DS gamer, i was  drawn to expansive universes in media  like The Legend of Zelda. These stories showed me that environments could carry narrative weight, emotion, and mythology. I collected concept art books from my favorite shows and games and sketched constantly, creating characters and worlds of my own. My book bag always carried drawing  books, my pencil pouch, and  tools to capture whatever ideas came to me. Growing up, I rarely saw Black figures reflected in fantasy spaces, which shaped my commitment to representation within my own work. I create to expand who is seen within myth and surrealism.

My artistic foundation deepened at a performing arts high school, where I was introduced to live production and multidisciplinary collaboration. At 17, I founded Lotus Rosery, a platform dedicated to uplifting emerging musicians and creating immersive visual experiences an effort that helped spotlight artists like BKTHERULA early in their careers. I later attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I studied animation and further developed my understanding of visual storytelling, fashion, and character-driven design while continuing to produce independent creative projects and events.

After graduating, I expanded into professional creative production, working within gallery and music label environments that refined my skills in visual development, set design, and creative direction. At MINT Gallery in Atlanta, I worked closely with artists and exhibitions, gaining insight into spatial storytelling and curation. Shortly after, I joined the art department at Love Renaissance (LVRN), where I contributed to set design, merchandise, and visual campaigns within a music label context.

These experiences strengthened my ability to translate abstract concepts into physical, immersive realities. Today, my practice exists at the intersection of illustration, sculpture, set design, and cinematic world-building, creating environments and imagery that explore emotion, transformation, mythology, and the unseen dimensions of human experience.
